Inspired Treatment serves three main purposes:
- Education
- Explain the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) standardized protocol, also used and taught by the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) on the benefits for stress management, addiction, trauma, and behavioral health in general.
- Expand on the benefits of acupuncture in general, and how exposure to the NADA protocol can increase interest in pursuing full body acupuncture from a licensed acupuncturist.
- Present the NADA protocol/POCA principles at major addiction conferences – letting attendees experience it to see what it is like
- Training in Colorado
- With colleagues, provide training for people who meet criteria according to Colorado state law, including but not limited to:
- Physicians
- Nurses
- Acupuncturists
- Licensed social workers
- Registered psychotherapists
- Psychologists
- Licensed nurses
- Family therapists
- LACs, LPCs, CAC-3s
- Peer coaches
- With colleagues, provide training for people who meet criteria according to Colorado state law, including but not limited to:
- Advocacy outside Colorado: assist behavioral health providers to get the law in their state changed.
This allows for providers other than acupuncturists or physicians to use the NADA protocol, thereby expanding the scope of practice and accessibility to the treatment.
